This policy explains what personal information PolyGel Nail Kit ("we", "us") collects when you visit polygelnailkit.com or buy from us, what we do with it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We run the store from Wollongong, Australia, and sell to customers in the United States.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number if you give one, what you bought and what you paid.
- Payment details: handled by Shopify Payments and the payment method you choose (for example Shop Pay or a card). We never see or store your full card number.
- Messages: anything you send us by email, including your order number and photos of an item.
- Reviews: if you leave a review, your name, rating, review text and any photos you add.
- Marketing preferences: whether you have signed up for our emails.
- Device and browsing information: collected automatically through cookies and similar technology: your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, the pages you view, what you add to your cart, and the site that sent you to us.
How we use it
- To process, ship and track your order, and to send order and shipping updates.
- To answer your questions and handle refunds and replacements.
- To prevent fraud and keep the store secure.
- To send marketing emails, only if you have opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To ask you for a review after your order arrives.
- To understand how people use the site and to measure our advertising, so we can improve the store.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the companies that help us run the store, and only what they need:
- Shopify, which hosts our store, checkout and payments. If you use Shop Pay or the Shop app, Shopify's own privacy policy also applies.
- Our fulfilment partners: we use DSers to send orders to our suppliers on AliExpress, who pack and ship them. They receive your name, shipping address and phone number (if given) so they can deliver your order.
- Shipping carriers, who receive your delivery details to deliver your parcel and provide tracking.
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads), which receives browsing and purchase information to help us measure visits and the performance of our ads.
- Judge.me, which sends review requests and hosts the reviews on our site.
- Zoho, which hosts our email inbox.
- Professional advisers, and law enforcement or regulators when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Sharing browsing data with Google for advertising measurement may count as "selling" or "sharing" under some US state privacy laws. You can opt out at any time using the cookie and privacy settings on our site or by emailing us.
Where your information goes
Because of the companies listed above, your information may be stored or processed in Australia, the United States, Canada, China and other countries where those companies operate. We only use providers that protect personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used and measure our ads. Where required, we ask for your consent first. You can change your choices in our cookie settings or block cookies in your browser, though some parts of the site, such as the cart, need them to work.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and legal purposes (generally up to seven years). We keep marketing information until you unsubscribe, and other information only as long as it is useful for the purposes above.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the personal information we hold about you;
- correct it;
- delete it, unless we have to keep it by law (for example, order records);
- stop sending you marketing emails;
- stop sharing your information for targeted advertising.
Email hello@polygelnailkit.com to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we won't treat you differently for using these rights. If you live in a US state with its own privacy law, you may have additional rights there, and you can appeal a decision we make by replying to our response. If you are in Australia and not happy with how we handled a privacy complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Children
Our store is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Security
We rely on Shopify's secure checkout and take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
